Overview

Seeking an application support and maintenance specialist to join our global AMS support team. This role will have a heavy focus on the Data Services and Integrations area of the business. The person in this role will report to the AMS Manager with an internal stakeholder relationship with Data and Analytics. The AMS team is responsible for supporting end users for our core business applications while working with development teams on break fixes/bugs, configuration changes, and system/job monitoring. The Data and Analytics team are responsible for the design, development and expansion of data assets that support business intelligence, advanced analytics, and reporting.

What You’ll Do

The core objectives of this position are:

• Advocate for the end user by providing a delightful and efficient user experience through professional, proactive communication, regular updates, and timely resolution of issues.
• A troubleshoot and analyze reported issues to resolution or escalation with root cause analysis. 
• Proactively highlight and address trending issues or suggest necessary enhancements or configuration changes.
• Adequately test solutions to ensure end user adoption and smooth release transition.
• Develop and articulate solution options that incorporate user experience, scalability, security and best practices.
• Ensure the integrity of data, analytic applications, and integration systems, primarily but not limited to Snowflake, Boomi, Snaplogic,and AWS Cloud Services. 
• Communication with internal team members and stakeholders in other time zones for requirements clarification and progress reporting.
• Maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, monitoring large, complex, data sets required to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.

Additional objectives of this position are:

• Maintain and optimize data tools for analytics and data scientist team members and assist them in building and improving our product into an innovative industry leader.
• Responsible for coaching other junior members of the team on their analytical process and deliverables..
• Work with data, analytics, and integration experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to author and present materials ranging from detailed technical specifications to high-level presentations.
• A drive to take ownership of reported issues and see them through to resolution.
• Experience with a global support structure stretching over multiple time zones and cultural differences. 
• Possess a love for problem solving using excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to learn quickly.
• 3+ years of support experience for data management and integrations including root cause analysis, end user communications, and resolution management required.
• Experience with Snaplogic, Snowflake, and Boomi required.
• Experience with AWS cloud applications desired.
• Experience with big data tools like Spark desired.
• Experience with AWS cloud services: Aurora, Redshift desired.
• Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, Kafka etc. desired.
