Who are we looking for?

GHD has an exciting opportunity a Project Services Advisor to join our Team in the Eureka, CA office.  You  is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of project data in all Management Information Systems, and maintaining timely production of external client invoicing. This position analyzes projects and their financial performance and provides support to Project Managers, Project Directors, and Project Finance to promote the financial success of the projects. 

You will be a  professional in the field of Finance and Accounting. Uses professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity. Limited or no prior experience in this role.

Responsibilities

• Document Preparation: Organize and prepare complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for special reports.
• Administration: Produce, update, and provide best practice support on complex Microsoft documents, databases, and other departmental systems, advising colleagues as needed and using expertise to help improve processes.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
• Client & Customer Management (Internal): Help senior colleagues manage internal client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.
• Internal Communications: Help others get the most out of internal communications systems by offering support and advice.
• Audit: Work within established audit control systems to deliver specified outcomes or provide general support.
• Financial Management and Control: Track progress against budgets within established finance systems, and report variances to more senior colleagues.
• Tax: Use established tax control systems and protocols to provide analytic support.
• Data Management: Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
• Leadership and Direction: Supervise a team performing routine work.
• Building Capability: Develop personal capabilities using existing formal and informal training opportunities.
• Policy Development and Implementation: Work within established procedures to achieve specified goals.

  Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level

Experience

• Minimum of two years accounting experience preferably with a professional services firm
• Minimum of one year experience with invoices, cost estimate spreadsheets and timesheets
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
• Experience in dealing with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years)

Hourly Rate: $26.00-$44.50 per hour based on experience
