Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (level 2).  This position will be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program. 

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do:

  • The qualified candidate will report to the Team Lead in C&L Infrastructure.

  • They will design, document, and test cables and or breakout boxes.

  • Conducts LRU interface research, process documents and collaborates with other engineers to determine best design for each set of cables. 

  • Will integrate delivered LRUs under direction of the technical lead.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and with 2 years or experience; or Master's degree with 0 years of experience
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
• Experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similar
•Experience performing mechanical design efforts on MILCON, major infrastructure/building projects, or Aerospace and Defense programs.
•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word 
•Ability to understand and interpret requirements

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

•Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction
•Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts
•Exposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsion
Proficient with 3D design/2D drawing CAD in NX 
• Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM
• Proficient with GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009 

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $116,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
