 At our Manufacturing Engineering Department in Medtronic, plc, we focus on supporting Product Value streams to ensure that customer & patient needs are met every day. Our focus is on delivering high maturity manufacturing processes and maintaining high-quality performance within our Teams. The Senior Engineer Supervisor is directly involved in the achievement of our mission to contribute to human welfare by manufacturing products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.

A Day in The Life Of:

• Support and mentor team members through new product introduction activity.
• Guides team with SAP ME introduction.
• Ensure process is implemented with optimum First Time Quality (FTQ).
• Preforms 1:1s with team members, CTORs and project leads.
• Ensure team monitors yields, critical defects, LBM & cycle time.
• Manages Operations ME activity to ensure project timelines are met.
• Represents the Voice of Operations (VOO) on the program. Ensure programs are engaged in the VOO deliverables and escalates, as appropriate.
• Attend Gembas and Team Meetings and update on progress and challenges.
• Manage Kronos, Individual Development plans & Performance Appraisals for team members.
• Responsible for team’s professional development to promote engagement, growth, job satisfaction and organizational health.
• Collaborates across Medtronic to ensure best practices are employed in product, process and tooling design.

Key Skills & Experience

• Bachelor Level 8 degree required in Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Be fully proficient in all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering activity.
• A good understanding of Agile, SAP, SAP ME is essential.
• Experience in setting up GTINs & MATNRs.
• Good understanding of MPS cell operations and systems.
• Good interpersonal skills are essential and must be a team player.
• Project Management skills would be a benefit.
• Candidate must have experience in PDP process and phase deliverables.
