Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$31.37 - $52.28

Role Overview: 

The Lead Planner for Warehouse and Logistics Engineering will be responsible for the technical planning and tasking of maintenance and automation activities of the automation and maintenance technician teams in Logistics Engineering. The lead planner is responsible for execution of maintenance and automation tasks supporting the Concord site logistics and warehouse equipment, plant, or flow, and for ensuring consistent application of a proactive maintenance program. The Concord site will be a 24/7 facility with multiple manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute with a safety-first, quality-always maintenance team
  • Ability to respond quickly and proactively to changing priorities within a reasonable timeframe
  • Cross functionally collaborates with the Process Flow Team to support project delivery
  • Ability to work closely with team on tasking and priority of maintenance and automation activities.
  • Assure data accuracy and ownership (data administrator) over maintenance deliverable data loading into CMMS work plans, PMs, calibrations, workflows, and/or data changes
  • Assist with delivery of new assets as it relates to job plan creation, spare parts, and timing of PMs to align with overall annual schedule, as well as understand and communicate the impact of required labor and spend to maintenance management
  • Assists in creation and maintaining job plans
  • Effectively communicate with project managers, area owners, supervisors, craftspeople, and customers to ensure all preventive, predictive and non-emergency corrective maintenance is planned to maximize craft time utilization and minimize downtime to operations
  • Develops periodic reports summarizing department progress toward implementing and executing the maintenance program
  • Monitor all due dates for all preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure 100% compliance
  • Work closely with maintenance supervision to assist in understanding of staffing requirements to ensure all maintenance work needs are met


Basic Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: Five+ years of manufacturing or maintenance experience in a planning role
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.


Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Knowledgeable of GMP manufacturing experience, maintenance requirements and automation processes.
  • Process knowledge related to Formulation, Filling, Device Assembly or Packaging operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with multiple levels within the organization with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in problem solving and RCA abilities.
  • CMMS experience as both user and planner capacity.
  • General understanding of PLC, HMI, and networking.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical concepts.
  • Experience with logistics related equipment including ASRS, SRM’s, AGV’s Conveyance, etc.
  • Experience in PM related to logistics equipment including hoists, cranes, conveyance, etc.
