Every day, we are building a culture where we all feel connected, supported, and empowered!</p><p>We are now looking for a Compliance Officer for Nasdaq Helsinki, being part of our Nasdaq Nordic and Baltic Compliance team.</p><p>As a Compliance Officer you will be part of the 2nd line Compliance Function focusing on compliance obligations for Nasdaq’s Nordic and Baltic Exchanges. You will work in a cross jurisdictional team of driven and dedicated Compliance Officers reporting to the European Head of Compliance.</p><p></p><h2>The role and responsibilities:</h2><ul><li><p>Working with management and operational teams to formalize and maintain policies and procedures to ensure that the business is compliant with applicable EU and local securities' regulation.</p></li><li><p>Ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to prevent, detect and correct compliance failures.</p></li><li><p>Maintain and develop a solid compliance framework and establish new compliance policies and procedures, as necessary.</p></li><li><p>Together with the team, manage the relationship with supervisory authorities and other regulators.</p></li><li><p>Reporting to the Board of Directors of compliance risks and other matters.</p></li><li><p>Follow up on new regulation and engage with relevant internal stakeholders and regulators to ensure implementation in accordance with the regulatory requirements.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2>We expect you to have:</h2><ul><li><p>Master of Law and experience with securities law is a merit.</p></li><li><p>At least 3-5 years of relevant experience within compliance within a financial institution.</p></li><li><p>Experience within compliance controls and audits.</p></li><li><p>Proven experience in providing regulatory guidance and advice.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and with strong communication skills.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>To suit this position, you are a team player but also enjoy working individually and you thrive and enjoy producing high quality work in a fast pace working environment. In addition, you are used to assume responsibility and are detailed oriented and self-driven.</p><p>Furthermore, your English and Finnish language skills (both written and spoken) are fluent.
