Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with ManTech!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager (Combat Systems) to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This position is on-site.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
You will manage project planning, scheduling, and execution of combat systems installation and sustainment efforts
Coordinate with Navy stakeholders, shipyards, and technical teams to ensure timely delivery and integration of systems
Oversee performance of subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements
Track budgets, monitor risk, and report on project status to internal and external stakeholders
Facilitate technical meetings, program reviews, and progress briefings
Ensure compliance with Navy regulations, safety policies, and security protocols
Provide leadership and mentorship to support staff and junior engineers
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of experience briefing senior military and civilian personnel onboard ship and within government facilities
10+ years of experience drafting standard naval messages, briefs, reports, databases and spreadsheets on aircraft carrier Antenna assessment issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with NAVSEA, NSWC, or regional maintenance centers
Prior Navy or DoD acquisition experience
Clearance Requirements:
An active Secret clearance is required to perform the duties of this position
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
Needs to occasionally move about shipyards or naval vessels, including climbing and walking extended distances
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve briefings or technical discussions.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
