MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Manager (Combat Systems) to join our team in Norfolk, VA.  This position is on-site.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• You will manage project planning, scheduling, and execution of combat systems installation and sustainment efforts

• Coordinate with Navy stakeholders, shipyards, and technical teams to ensure timely delivery and integration of systems

• Oversee performance of subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements

• Track budgets, monitor risk, and report on project status to internal and external stakeholders

• Facilitate technical meetings, program reviews, and progress briefings

• Ensure compliance with Navy regulations, safety policies, and security protocols

• Provide leadership and mentorship to support staff and junior engineers

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience briefing senior military and civilian personnel onboard ship and within government facilities

• 10+ years of experience drafting standard naval messages, briefs, reports, databases and spreadsheets on aircraft carrier Antenna assessment issues

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with NAVSEA, NSWC, or regional maintenance centers

• Prior Navy or DoD acquisition experience

Clearance Requirements:

• An active Secret clearance is required to perform the duties of this position

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

• Needs to occasionally move about shipyards or naval vessels, including climbing and walking extended distances

• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve briefings or technical discussions.

• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
