THE ROLE
We are looking for a Director of Consumer Engagement Procurement to join our procurement team and manage our new created Consumer Engagement Categories (c. $150M). This category will cover Influencer Marketing, PR, Social and Advocacy, Loyalty programs and Consumer Relationship Management. This role will see you building a cost efficient and flexible supply for the Category to deliver sustainable savings, innovation and de-risk the practice to support growth and the overall Coty strategy.
You will oversee a team of 4 people, spread across Europe, APAC and Americas, and will also need to be comfortable with informal leadership to influence and onboard a large spectrum of stakeholders.
You will lead change by effective procurement leadership and close relationships with your galaxy of key stakeholders across the globe:
- Leadership team (SVP and VPs marketing, and occasional C-suite interactions),
- Marketing Directors & Managers,
- Sales & E-commerce teams.
Reporting to the VP of Content and Retail Procurement, you will:
- Develop a robust Consumer Engagement Categories Strategy aligned with key internal stakeholders and leveraging industry dynamics and suppliers.
- Deliver end-to-end and sustainable value creation,
- Develop strong supplier relationships to accompany our turnaround strategy and our innovations.
- Lead and develop a team of 4 Marketing procurement professionals (from sr Manager to buyers)
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Profile and education:
- Meaningful experience in Marketing Procurement, at least 10 years,
- Team leadership and development, at least 5 to 7 years,
- Experience in working in an international environment and matrix organization,
- Degree qualified preferably in Procurement, Marketing, Business or other relevant, discipline. MBA advantageous,
- High degree of fluency of English is required.

- Proven influencing, negotiation, communication and presentation skills,
- Result oriented, hands-on individual with solid track record,
- Strong analytical skills and project management capabilities,
- Business acumen and interpersonal savvy,
- Strong understanding of the Marketing Categories Sector,
- Mobility for travelling (ca. 25% of working time).
Required skills:
- Outstanding Leadership skills: formal and informal leadership will be required to succeed in this role. You are used to managed medium size teams, multi-cultural individuals and drive the best out of them to successfully deliver the Content agenda.
- Ability to drive clarity and agility: You don’t get easily stressed by a fluid environment, on the opposite, you get energized by the opportunity to drive clarity for the team, you are quick to adapt as new information becomes available.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation ability: ability to work across different levels in the organization and across different teams to ensure everyone is updated on key timelines and/or decisions.
