JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Lead works closely with Operations Supervisor to establish, create, implement, and enforce company initiatives/policies while maintaining the highest standards of efficiency and quality for our internal and external customers. Provides work direction to warehouse workers daily to increase efficiency and accuracy by communicating with fellow Leads to ensure a smooth flow of product.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You will act as a liaison between management and team members. Speaks respectively of company and team members
- You will enforce company policies and procedures. Provides feedback to Supervisor when inconsistencies are observed
- You will meet deadlines and goals established by department supervisor or manager
- You will be providing feedback to supervisors on strengths and development needs of team members
- You will be delivering monthly performance reviews to temporary agency staff
- You will be leading by example. Approachable. Following through on promises and commitments. Demonstrating consistency between words and actions
- You will be monitoring the break schedules of the employees in their section and holding them accountable to the schedule
- You will be maintaining and enforcing company Safety and Security policies
- You will recognize the impact of your own decisions on company, customers, and team members
- You will interact with Commercial drivers at Shipping gates
- You will be able to efficiently run the department in Supervisors’ absence
- You will have the ability to drive Powered Industrial Equipment (Reach truck, Double pallet rider)
WHO YOU ARE
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a warehouse worker; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience
- Experience using warehouse equipment and RF scanner preferred.
- Ability to learn & perform all warehouse processes as needed
