As a project engineer, you will be responsible in the leadership of a cross-functional engineering team in the planning, coordinating, monitoring, implementation and execution of medical device projects. In your role, you will ensure R&D projects are completed on time/cost & budget. You will support cutting edge medical device products from the inception phase to launch. You will also support the coordination of the assessment and implementation of material and process changes/improvements to the current manufacturing lines, ensuring compliance of Stryker’s product in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements and standards for medical devices.
Manage, monitor, and control elements of a project. Evaluate trade-offs within project.
Meet with project stakeholders to understand and refine project scope; review with manager for approval. Create detailed Work Breakdown Structure.
Develop and manage the detailed project Gantt chart. Analyze critical path and major workstreams.
Collaborate with leadership, technical lead, and cross functional team members to establish project budget. Monitor and maintain costs within budget.
Develop a risk management plan for the project. Identify, analyze and understand project risks, develop and monitor a risk response plan.
Develop and Execute the communications management plan for project team and the needs of key stakeholders
Leverage knowledge within the team to build skills and experienced needed to grow within the role to expand capability of taking on more responsibility.
Builds successful working relationships with internal and external personnel in various departments. Understands quality system(s).
Drive the completion of documentation required to support the product design file in accordance to Stryker procedures and processes.
Provide technical/scientific support and documentation associated with material specifications, device properties and process related items.
Create or refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History File, per internal design control procedures
Implementation of changes for NPD projects through change management system per internal change control procedures
What You Need:
Required
Bachelor’s Degree required; in engineering or technical discipline
4 years of experience developing products with experience in new product development.
$85,800.00 - $182,100.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
