Description
The studio of NICOLEHOLLIS is looking for a talented, creative and proactive Production Designer to join our team. Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and likes to contribute their own ideas to the mix. You have an affinity for graphic design, branding, video production, web design, and social media design. The Adobe Creative Suite and Figma are your main toolsets; with proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro or AfterEffects, and InDesign. Experience on set and with professional photography is preferred. You possess excellent typography, layout and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively. You are self-motivated to carry design concepts through to final production.Key Responsibilities
Design Development and Production (70%)- Initiate brand components and guidelines across all existing communications.
- Develop and produce high quality graphics for digital and print media; including but not limited to presentation, books, print, photography, mock-ups, social media posts, infographics, marketing materials, web-design, branding, packaging, and more.
- Edit and produce high-quality video content (e.g., Campaign launch videos, product video, branded reels) using raw footage, ensuring proper pacing and sound design.
- Support Retail Department in developing branded assets, such as additional logos, web design, photo editing, video production, email design, and social media design.
- Prepare all image files for digital and print use, including retouching, file naming and sizing according to studio art direction.
- Work with Creative Director to develop, design, implement, refine and produce creative concepts/solutions through final execution.
- Ensure all electronic files are built responsibly (smallest size, proper naming conventions, error free); conduct pre-flight quality checks on all source files.
- Support Creative Director to research and supervise pre-selected/approved creative resources (printers, illustrators, photographers, etc.).
- Understand basic print production process and different printing techniques (lithography, letterpress, embossing, engraving, etc.).
- Maintain expertise in appropriate and latest design and production software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Video Editing software, basic HTML capabilities, etc.)
- Produce and maintain all internal digital document and presentation templates.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced industry trends and needs.
- Help organize, monitor archives, and maintain files on the server.
- Use AI tools for advanced image editing, image generation, and video generation, followed by human refinement for final quality assurance.
- Resizing, retouching, and prepping photos for presentations, award submissions, and press features.
- Help Director produce speaking presentations for conference and market appearances.
- Assist as needed with advertising design and marketing materials.
- Monitor and update company website as necessary. Tasks include: uploading prepared portfolio images and updating text content.
- Coordinate with Program Director and Operations Director on issues related to adhering to and monitoring of project budgets, schedules and scope of work/revisions.
- Contribute honest input during performance reviews while working with your manager to define and achieve quarterly and annual professional development goals.
- Enter all hours (billable and non-billable) daily and accurately in time-keeping system.
- Participate in marketing and staff meetings.
- Contribute to environment that is efficient, professional, proactive, and team oriented.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
- Proficient with technology, Microsoft Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects (or a similar video editing software), Figma.
- Basic to Intermediate HTML capabilities.
- Awareness of and experience with social media design.
- A BS/BA degree in Graphic Design or Multimedia Design, or commensurate experience with at least 3-6 years of Graphics Design experience
- Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
- Good people skills; relate well on phone
