Position Summary: 
The Enrollment Support Specialist (ESS) role is an integral part of the team assisting new families in enrolling students at Mastery Schools.  The Mastery ESS team members assist families in enrolling by helping them find their right Mastery school, answering questions, supporting them in completing an application, and by giving families a great first experience with Mastery Schools. ESS staff also support recruitment and registration processes so that schools and Mastery meet enrollment goals. This part-time (25-29 hours/week) role will be hybrid and will require the person in the role to report in person at least 3 days a week. The ESS will support schools in both Camden, NJ and Philadelphia, PA.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Essential Job Functions:
  • Facilitate new student enrollment by working with families to share information about our school(s), engage in enrollment or re-enrollment.
  • Support enrollment in schools by making referral calls or sending emails emails, providing  application support
  • Use phone, text, email, and LiveChat to respond to inquiries by staff, parents, and partners, as well as to recruit new families.
  • Support in responding to tickets from school teams relating to troubleshooting enrollment application and registration systems.
  • Manage lead cultivation process through Hubspot by contacting interested families daily and encouraging them to apply to Mastery Charter schools. Meet all weekly goals tied to lead cultivation and contact.
  • Support families interested in Mastery Charter schools through application process prior to handing over to school based operations team.
  • Support with enrollment initiatives at schools in Camden and Philadelphia such as phone banking, canvassing, tabling at community events, supporting at school events, etc with the goal of enrolling new students at Mastery Schools and retaining current Mastery students.
  • Support schools in cultivating relationships with local community centers in Camden schools/PA renaissance schools to give Mastery Charter schools more of a presence.
  • Communicate professionally via verbal and written communications. Produce written correspondence, brochures, and flyers, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate data for record-keeping in multiple software systems, including obtaining a variety of information, records, applications, or registration materials. Maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards families and staff at all times.
  • Collaborate with other Enrollment Support Specialist(s) to support each other, as needed. 
  • Attend all necessary meetings and trainings 
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between campuses in Philadelphia and Camden, as needed

  • Other Job Functions:
  • Serve as an Ambassador for Mastery Schools, understanding our mission, school highlights, and what we offer to students & families.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required;
