As a Maintenance Technician you'll provide support and assistance to the Facilities Director by completing preventative maintenance, responding to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring compliance with all safety requirements, and providing facilities and janitorial support in all of ASAC’s locations.


Key Duties:

  • Provide direct and regular maintenance where required for all ASAC locations.
  • Coordinate and supervise vendors that work on all ASAC properties and equipment.
  • Monitor, schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance needs and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Provide direct support to staff and management for maintenance and janitorial needs.
  • Maintain building safety at all sites and serve on the Safety Committee.
  • Act as the direct contact for all maintenance issues and requests, including working with the Facilities Director on schedules, emergencies, and future needs for facilities and properties.
  • Manage fire safety equipment maintenance, AED, and power outage supplies. Ensure first aid supplies are available at all locations along with evacuation requirements, fire extinguishers documentation, safety documentation.
  • Review, select and coordinate the pick up or delivery of large donations from a variety of sources in the community.
  • Safely operate a vehicle for job-related travel, such as attending off-site meetings, and visiting community partners or service locations.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and knowledge of basic building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and vehicles. Candidates should have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple competing responsibilities. A valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record is required, as well as the ability to lift at least 25lbs.
