Senior Process Engineer – ME assembly

We have a clear purpose as an organization: to provide our customers with cutting-edge solutions to help solve their most critical needs.</p> <p> The company generated 2023 revenues of $3.3 billion and is comprised of three distinct segments: </p> <ul> <li><strong>Motion Technologies</strong> ($1.5B revenue) is a global leader in brake pads, shock absorbers and sealing solutions for the automotive and rail markets</li> <li><strong>Industrial Process</strong> ($1.1B revenue) is a global leader in centrifugal and twin-screw pumps for the chemical, energy, mining and industrial markets</li> <li><strong>Connect &amp; Control Technologies</strong> ($0.7B) is a niche player in harsh environment connectors and control components in critical applications for the aerospace, defense and industrial markets.</li> </ul> <p> ITT is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut with over 10,000 employees in more than 35 countries and sales in approximately 125 countries.</p> <h2>Position Summary</h2> <p>We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer – ME assembly for our Lainate (MI) plant.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong><u>PRIMARY PURPOSE:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>New product introduction, include device preparation, prototype setup, assembly line preparation, documentation preparation.</li> <li>Assembly line transfer</li> <li>RTM smooth &amp; continuous process improvement</li> <li>New manufacturing technology introductio</li> </ul> <h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Effectively cooperate with product designer to optimize product design and validation.</li> <li>Lead new assembly line build-up according to product requirement by lean thinking.</li> <li>Cooperation with quality engineer to deal with Quality Complain and Customer audit in project early stage.</li> <li>Operator training: orientation training and training for new employees.</li> <li>New manufacturing technology research and development.</li> <li>Be responsible for process documentation preparation and review, such as build report, process flowchart, process map, PFMEA, work instruction etc. </li> <li>Be responsible for sample build.</li> <li>Assembly line specific parts concept design, be responsible for new production line running smoothly and into ramp up stage in time.</li> <li>Responsible for productivity and capacity improvement, include manpower, line balance and assembly line layout optimization.</li> <li>Responsible for assembly line transfer, include device, technology, and documentation.</li> <li>Process capability analysis, continuous process improvement and optimization, such as, WIP reduction, product failure mode analysis, production yield improvement</li> </ul> <h2>Position Requirements</h2> <p><u>EDUCATION</u>:</p> <p> </p> <p>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering</p> <p> </p> <p><u>WORK RELATED EXPERIENCE</u>:</p> <ul> <li>4+ years’ work experience as a process engineer</li> <li>Good assembly device debug skill</li> <li>Be familiar with mechanical design, assembly process.</li> <li>Be familiar with molding, stamping, plating process.(preferred)</li> <li>Be familiar with automatic control, laser, ultrasonic application.(preferred)</li> <li>Be familiar with Robot technology, vision experience.(preferred)</li> </ul> <p><u>OTHER TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION/SPECIFIC COMPETENCY:</u></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Be familiar with IE tools, such as 5W1H, Poka Yoke, Motion analysis, Line balancing analysis, Combination work analysis, and Kaizen activities, like PDCA cycle, 7 steps, 5S, Standardized Work, ECRS, Process Mapping, etc.</li> <li>Familiar with office software (MS Office, AutoCAD)</li> <li>Basic knowledge in TS 16949</li> <li>Lean experience (preferred)</li> <li>Familiar with 3D software (preferred)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><u>Others:</u></p> <ul> <li>Strong leaning &amp; innovation thinking</li> <li>Good skills of communication and conflict handling</li> <li>Open minded, and self-motivated</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills including English and Italian. </li> </ul>
