A Day in the Life

Join the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Quality team leading the quality team supporting the Patient Care Systems organization.

The Sr. Director Quality role covers pre-market and post-market software/patient care systems (PCS) for CRM Quality. The role reports to the Vice President, CRM Quality and dotted-line reports to the Vice President, PCS. The role leads team of approximately 40 people, including several sr. managers and one director. We are looking for an influential leader who can continue to drive the group towards expertise in software quality, mentor & build the department into high performance, and lead initiatives across CRM. A successful candidate is someone who learns quickly, leads intentionally with influence, drives continuous improvement and exercises their voice.

  • In partnership with key LT members, develop short-term and long-range objectives and success measures for the OU’s Commercial scale up (Hiring, Training and Field Deployment)
  • Escalates key priorities and areas of action early in the process. Manages the flow of Mapper hiring between critical decision points.
  • Supports key LT members in preparing data for senior level meetings, decisions relating to resource allocations, strategic and resource analysis.
  • Builds tracking mechanisms, ensuring strategic and operational views of dashboards & metrics for Commercial Scale Up. Brings visibility to data relating to milestone progress by identifying internal and external issues that could affect growth
  • May prepare proposals, recommend strategic objectives and alternatives, and implement and maintain strategic and operational plans.
  • Plays critical role in creating operating mechanisms and strategic calendar of priorities.
  • Plans and coordinates reviews at the OU level

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, quality assurance or software
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant Quality and/or Software Engineering experience with 10+ years of managerial experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Past experience working with software technology platform
  • Strong leadership and management experience
  • Strong problem solving, leadership, influence and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently to lead in a fast-paced, agile work environment
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, motivate teams and drive continuous improvement

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$223,200.00 - $334,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.

The base salary range is applicable
