Responsibilities
We are seeking a Public Safety Officer (Per Diem) at Saint Joseph Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Kansas City, Missouri. The Public Safety Officer (Per Diem) will play a crucial role in preventing security incidents, ensuring the welfare of everyone on hospital property while supporting a peaceful healthcare environment.
Duties include, but not limited to: patrolling the hospital premises (both inside and outside), investigate and submit reports on assaults, thefts, damage to personal and facility property while accurately documenting all incidents, emergencies and/or violations. You will also assist the staff in the handling of combative persons and situations and maintain communication with local law enforcement.
Qualifications
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid state Drivers License
- Good Driving History (Current DMV report reviewed)
- Basic computer Skills (for Report Writing/Documentation)
Preferred Skills/Experience/Education (Not required but nice to have)
- Two or Four year college degree
- 1+ years experience as a Security Officer (ideally in a hospital setting) or related field
Law Enforcement and/or former Military encouraged to apply.
