Senior Manager, Business Development

<h1><b>We are now seeking a </b><b><span>Senior Manager of Business Development</span></b><b> for Stock Preparation &amp; Recycled Fiber Technology.</b></h1><p></p><p>Stock Preparation and Recycled Fiber (SPR) offers sustainable services, solutions, and equipment to process renewable fiber raw materials mainly for board, paper, tissue and pulp industry. Our range of products is wide, in some of which we are the established global market leader; in others there is more room for growth. In the new Valmet operating model, SPR drives the growth of services as well as new installations, which is an excellent opportunity to leverage the growth of lifecycle business. Our centers for technology are located in Tampere, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden. We have a world class pilot facility located in Inkeroinen, Finland.</p><p></p><h2>In this role, your main responsibilities are</h2><ul><li><p><span>You will likely start off in the position without a team, but the aim is to gradually build a small, young team of 1-2 people. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Your first main responsibility will be to drive the Strategy Initiative of digital installed base management, and capabilities for digital sales enablement together with Valmet IT, Product Technology function and Lifecycle Management function.  </span></p></li><li><p>You will likely have a role or assigned tasks in supporting tasks across SPR functions, such as facilitation of Strategy, Annual plan, HSE and quality processes in accordance with the way to operate in the new Valmet operating model.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>You will be an active member of the SPR’s management team, and you report to VP, Stock Preparation &amp; Recycled Fiber. Preferably, you will work from Tampere, Jyväskylä, Tikkurila or Stockholm. Other Valmet locations globally can be discussed.</p><p></p><h2><b><span>To be successful in this position</span></b></h2><ul><li><p>Min 5y of experience of service business and people leadership.</p></li><li><p>People leadership skills with a track record of achieving results independently and collaboratively in an international matrix organization.</p></li><li><p>Experience in utilization of installed base to generate business opportunities.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of heavy machinery industry / process industry or alike.</p></li><li><p>Knowhow of the Pulp &amp; Paper industry and stock preparation technology is a key advantage.</p></li><li><p>Strategic thinking and systematic way of working.</p></li><li><p>Proactive drive of initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as presentation and influencing skills. All other language skills are beneficial.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of key cultural differences.
