Job Description
The position is responsible to various functions within the warehouse. Focus will be on the Outbound Shipping department, with additional duties in the arrival and receiving of warehouse deliveries. Backup training to support the literature department as needed.
Job Duties
- Accurately performs all processes related to the flow of the outbound shipping of systematic orders.
- Process non systematic shipments via parcel power ship terminal.
- Coordinate freight shipments with carriers.
- Process all parcel shipments and move to appropriate outbound staging locations.
- Ensure daily pickups have been physically confirmed and manifested systematically.
- Follow all standard operating procedures.
- Maintains supplies and presents to Operations Manager monthly or as needed.
- Enters inbound shipments into WMi as needed.
- Learns and execute processes for Literature as needed.
- Supports all departments within the warehouse, as needed, for optimal operational efficiency.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in warehousing/distribution with emphasis on shipping preferred.
- Mandatory overtime hours required when necessary to support the business needs.
Preferred:
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight time schedules and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Working knowledge and understanding of WMi and SAP systems with the ability to learn and adapt to a new system as applicable.
- Skilled in MS Excel, Showcase reporting and review.
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
- Must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills with focus on teamwork along with awareness of time and the self- managing of it.
- Analytical Skills, Problem Solving, Mathematical Skills, Organizational Skills.
- Proficient knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, other software PC skills a plus.
- The ability to operate material handling equipment is preferred.
- The ability to lift 50lbs.
