Fives Landis Corp – Gardner Abrasives is actively seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join its team in South Beloit, Illinois.

Salary Range:  $80,000 - $95,000 (salary offer is determined by experience)

At Gardner Abrasives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. Your role will be to:

• Lead maintenance operations by overseeing the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, facility systems, and energy management technologies to ensure maximum uptime and operational reliability.
• Supervise and support Maintenance and IT staff by setting clear expectations, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance. Provide training and development opportunities to grow team capabilities.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs (Limble), manufacturer manuals, equipment analytics, and predictive tools to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Manage facility-related projects from start to finish, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to operations.
• Oversee and evaluate external contractors for specialized services or facility upgrades, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Support the facility’s safety initiatives in alignment with corporate goals. Maintain fire protection, disaster response systems, and liaison with state/local/insurance officials as needed.
• Maintain critical spare parts inventory to avoid extended downtimes due to long lead times.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets, aligning short- and long-term plans with resource needs.
• Partner with other departments to ensure maintenance supports production and quality goals effectively.

At Gardner Abrasives and under the direction of the Operations Manager, you will join the Maintenance team.
