Carnegie Hall seeks a Part-time Retail Assistant. The Retail Assistant will support Carnegie Hall's Retail Operations with public-facing interactions and administrative tasks. Individuals should have outgoing, affable personalities who enjoy working with the public in diverse group settings. The individual will assist with in-person and online sales in the gift shop, along with daily cash accounting of all gift shop locations. They will provide strong general customer service queries by online chat, email, and phone in addition to in-person customer service queries. They will also help to maintain Retail Operations spaces and materials and assist with related Retail Operations assignments.
Responsibilities
• Handle retail sales in a fast-paced environment, along with daily cash accounting of all gift shop locations.
• Stocking, arrangement, and organization of Shop merchandise on a daily basis.
• Count-In/Count-Out, Load-In/Load-Out, and management/seller responsibilities of artist merchandise and CD/Book signing events.
• Mail Order and Online Order fulfillments
• Customer Service support not limited to on-site chat and phone support.
Qualifications
• Engaging and outgoing personality who enjoys working with others in diverse group settings.
• The assistant should also have strong interpersonal, customer service, and phone skills.
• Thrives on being a fast learner who is self-motivated and can work independently.
• Excellent time management in a fast-paced environment working independently and collaboratively.
• Flexible schedule with evening and weekend availability required.
• Average 4-5 shifts/15-20 hours per week.
• Individuals with background in music, theater, art, and cultural organizations are encouraged to apply.
