Position Summary
The Lead Solution Architect is responsible for designing and maintaining performant and scalable Solution Architectures that align to the organization’s business objectives, technical standards, best practices, and defined Target State Architectures. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to understand technical requirements and create robust, scalable solutions that ensure the integrity, security, and performance of the application infrastructure. The Lead Solution Architect also plays a critical role in guiding the organization’s strategic technical vision, leveraging emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support informed decision-making through definition and maintenance of Target State Architectures.
Accountabilities include:
- Define and execute architectural strategies that achieve business objectives while aligning to the organization's Target State Architectures.
- Lead and supervise architectural initiatives within assigned projects or areas, ensuring alignment with the established Roadmaps.
- Develop architectural designs and solutions, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices while focusing on cloud-native technologies.
- Mentor and guide engineers and junior architects in project-related tasks and skill development, emphasizing the importance of Target State adherence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective architectural solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, IT teams, and management, to understand needs and drive alignment with business and development teams.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance application processes, with a focus on cloud platforms and cloud-native development tools.
- Lead architecture and design reviews, identifying gaps and recommending design changes to ensure alignment with Target State Architectures. Actively participate in the Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities while considering the complexities of our IT landscape.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years working as a Solution Architect or in a similar role.
- 7+ years of design/development experience in modern tech stacks, with a strong emphasis on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proven experience in cloud-native development tools and methodologies.
- Effective at sharing information verbally and in writing, tailoring communication to different audiences. Champions technical decisions by framing rationale, potential benefits, and risks in terms of business impact.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex technical issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Proactively develops and documents best practices, identifying technical gaps, risks, and pain points, and implementing appropriate solutions with urgency.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proven experience creating and maintaining Target State Architectures
- Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, GCP, Snowflake) and their associated services is preferred.
- Experience facilitating the adoption of cloud-native/cloud-first architectures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Salesforce/Health Cloud enterprise implementation is a plus.
- Experience/certification in one or more cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) is preferred.
- Experience in large-scale migration efforts from legacy technology to modern solutions is preferred.
- Experience with Medicare and Duals is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118,450.00 - $236,900.00
