Position Overview

Plans and directs accounting and finance functions for the region performing or overseeing the duties below. 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Is a business partner to region managers providing financial analysis / reports and ad-hoc analyses as needed.

• Assists OpCo controllers with production entries, close procedures, and annual SOX controls.

• Participates in / coordinates the region’s monthly close process with the OpCo controllers, the Assistant Region Controller, the Region Controller, the Region CFO, division personnel, and others.

• Prepares and helps review region forecasts and budgets.  Participates in strategic planning process.

• Ensures compliance with AMAT and West Division policies and procedures and internal controls (SOX).

• Performs / reviews balance sheet reconciliations.

• Supports external / internal audits.

• Assists in preparing inventory valuations.

• Actively participates in process improvement efforts.

• Works to improve working capital within the region.

• Reports on carbon reduction and other environmental efforts within the region.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Preferences

• Master’s degree in Accounting

• CPA, CMA, or MBA

 

 

Additional Requirements

• Travel approximately 20%
