About the role

Overview

VNA Health Group, a trusted leader in providing compassionate care and support to our communities, is seeking a dedicated Entry Level Special Events Coordinator to join our Development team. This role focuses on organizing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality events that drive engagement and fundraising success in support of our mission.

The Special Events Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Development and other team members to ensure each event achieves its goals, enhances donor relationships, and reflects the values of VNA Health Group.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of fundraising and special events, including planning, logistics, execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Maintain event timelines and ensure all deliverables are met on schedule.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event operations.
  • Assist in identifying sponsorship opportunities and cultivating relationships with donors and community partners.
  • Oversee registration, guest lists, and event communications, ensuring a positive attendee experience.
  • Support the development of promotional materials, invitations, and outreach plans.
  • Track and report event outcomes, including participation and fundraising metrics.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in special events  and fundraising.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT and Constant Contact preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Flexibility to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
