Job Title: HQ Controller – Executive Director, Finance  

Location: Northville, Michigan

The objective of this position is to manage and optimize the organization's headquarters financial operations with a focus on cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic asset management. The position may be based in Northville, Michigan and reports directly to the Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis of the company.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee headquarters costs and manage charge-out processes to business units.
• Centralize lease accounting functions, ensuring accurate and fair allocation of costs.
• Maintain precise records for special transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Manage stranded assets, coordinate systems closures, and oversee asset dispositions.
• Direct corporate real estate financial strategies, including investments and cost management.
• Lead initiatives for HQ simplification to streamline processes and reduce overhead.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Skills

• CPA or equivalent with a strong background in finance management at a senior level.
• In-depth knowledge of lease and real estate accounting practices.
• Proven experience with complex transaction bookkeeping and asset management.
• Strategic thinker with skills in simplifying and optimizing financial processes.
• Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
