The Role:

The Team Leader – Clinical Pharmacy acts as an expert in the provision of clinical pharmacy services, providing advice and support across a broad range of clinical pharmacy issues to both internal and external stakeholders and participates as a member of the Tasmanian clinical pharmacy management team and provide leadership in the design, operation, and evaluation of clinical pharmacy services, policy review, training and project work as required.

• Operate independently in the provision of complex pharmacy activities to patients of the Tasmanian Health Service by demonstrating advanced knowledge, skills and experience relevant to pharmacy practice and provision of pharmaceutical information and providing professional advice and consultancy services to other disciplines and the public.

• Supervise pharmacy teams under the broad delegation of the relevant pharmacy service manager, including direction of work priorities and practices; monitoring workflow; management of staff, professional supervision and development, performance appraisal and implementing programs and strategies to address identified training needs (including within an extended hours framework as appropriate). 
• Lead, Initiate and participate in the development and monitoring of policies and standard operating procedures for clinical pharmacy services.

The Team Leader – Clinical Pharmacy provides on-site leadership to pharmacy staff and works with other Team Leaders and relevant pharmacy service managers across the State to ensure a consistent approach to pharmacy practice. The occupant is:

• Required to develop and maintain productive working relationships.
• Able to communicate highly complex information to patients/clients, colleagues and stakeholders in terms that can be easily understood and implemented.
• Expected to operate with a significant degree of professional independence and autonomy, while operating under the broad direction and supervision of the relevant pharmacy service manager.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $120,114 to $134,268 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
