The role has no direct reports for this role.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Purpose of the role</strong></p><p>Software Test Engineer will be responsible for the quality of the deliverable.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities (tasks)</strong></p><ul><li><p> Will report to Software Test Manager / Sr. Test Manager.</p></li><li><p>Primarily responsible for quality of the software development and deployment.</p></li><li><p>Analyze the Use cases/User Stories/ Requirements in Jira for validity and feasibility.</p></li><li><p>Determine a test plan after analyzing the specification and Impact Analysis.</p></li><li><p>Create test design in the test management tool, test Data and Automation scripts for testing and maintain the traceability.</p></li><li><p>Understanding of the solutions that are being tested.</p></li><li><p>Understanding the project and product requirements.</p></li><li><p>Configure the test software/environment in which the test will be performed. </p></li><li><p>Perform all levels of testing, Sanity, Smoke, System, Integration, Regression, Certification Test etc.,</p></li><li><p>Perform manual or automated testing as per the test plan and ensure sufficient test coverage.</p></li><li><p>Detect issues with Software deliverable or Documentation or Jira and raise and track the Software defects and inconsistencies. Testing our products at a functional as well as technical level, with a focus on black box testing.</p></li><li><p>Perform peer review within the project.</p></li><li><p>Validate the test results and document and report the current result to management like Test Lead, Test Team Lead, Test Manager, Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, etc.,</p></li><li><p>Responsible for the CICD process, like monitoring Jenkins, ensuring the pipelines are up to date.</p></li><li><p>Co-ordinate across teams in case of debugging issues and build a good rapport with the development team.</p></li><li><p>Participate in all the Agile ceremonies.</p></li><li><p>Look out for opportunities and improve the process efficiently.</p></li><li><p>Mentor and Guide team member.</p></li><li><p>Provide Support during project releases and attend Customer meeting incases needed.</p></li><li><p>Provide timely solutions.</p></li><li><p>Willing to learn new technologies and implement the same in the projects.</p></li><li><p>Might be a part of interview Panel.</p></li><li><p>Maintain information security in the workplace and in the organization.</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Performance indicators</strong></p><ul><li><p>The number of defects found by the customers should be less than the number of defects found by the QA team.</p></li><li><p>Total number of defects should have a decreasing graph.</p></li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Directives</strong></p><p>Applicable areas of the quality management system</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Basic Qualifications<br/> - 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience<br/> <br/> Preferred Qualifications<br/> - 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)<br/> - The candidates must have recent automation testing experience with 2 to 3+ years of automation testing.<br/> - Should have broad understanding of Software engineering concepts and Testing Methodology.<br/> - Have in depth experience in impact analysis, test design and test Execution.<br/> - Strong background in test automation with a focus on APIs.<br/> - Automated testing APIs using SOAP
