AECOM is actively growing the East Region grants management and community engagement practice and is seeking a part-time/on-call Senior Advisor - Community Resiliency based within the Mid-Atlantic geography. The successful candidate will have experience in overseeing policy development, program design and community level technical assistance. The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM grant management professionals across the US to assist in project delivery.

For this opportunity, we will consider candidates in any of our Mid-Atlantic Regional offices including District of Columbia.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Advise on the development, management, and administration of projects carried out by other colleagues in the mid-Atlantic, and possibly elsewhere.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams in the preparation of local, state, and federal grant management processes for mitigation projects, with a particular focus on scoping of technical assistance.

• Support the development of strategy and tactics, including contributing to high-quality proposals, interdisciplinary teams, and documents and report deliverables.

• Where appropriate, perform client visits and field activities that require work outside the office and overnight travel, for example, conferences and paper presentations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, or related degree +12 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• 8+ years of experience managing projects that focus on strategy and/or technical assistance.

• Demonstrated technical and regulatory policy background consistent with understanding EPA and/or FEMA policies for funding infrastructure projects.

• Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8 years of professional experience that includes policy analysis and developing solutions for federal-focused technical assistance for infrastructure projects.

• Understanding of the regulatory and financial assistance processes for State Revolving Fund related project planning.

• High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as in a collaborative team environment.

• Organizational management skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.

• Self-motivated, driven, and hard working.

• Existing, mature, and tested Client relationships with an ability to generate new work for the Team, Office, and Company.

• Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written (writing sample required)

• Occasional overnight travel required.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this part-time position is $100 - $135hr.
