Overview

As a European Equity Sales trader, you will work with research sales to monetize Deutsche Bank’s European research and corporate access/conference franchise via equity sales trading. Your role will entail providing timely market color & trading information and execution services to existing & prospective institutional clients. Equally important will be ensuring that the highest risk standards are always adhered to, to minimize risk to the client and Deutsche Bank. Deutsche Bank is investing in European equity sales trading, and this is an opportunity to build a leading franchise.

What You’ll Do

• Manage an institutional account package & provide back-up to rest of team

• Build and cultivate a prospective client base

• Work with research equity sales and corporate access to ensure resource consumption is effectively monetized

• Work with ECM to effectively complete primary equity transactions

• Effectively use Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank research and market information to ensure Deutsche Bank is a key institutional counterparty

• Provide input on the strategic direction of the group and professional development of team members

How You’ll Lead

• Develop and cultivate strong client relationships

• Work collaboratively with other parts of the Bank to offer multiple products and solutions to clients

• Provide mentorship and guidance to the deal teams on: setting appropriate project initiatives; executing pitches to prospective clients; ensuring overall successful transactions are undertaken in an efficient manner; and developing junior members of the team to accelerate their careers

Skills You’ll Need

• Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, in-depth product and market knowledge

• Proven track record of independently and proactively servicing multiple clients and effectively managing multiple priorities, while generating significant revenue

Skills That Will Help You Excel

• Self-starter who can digest research & market information to the benefit of institutional clients

• Strong communication skills to liaise with research sales and ECM

• Be proficient in Bloomberg, Newport, Microsoft Excel

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K to $300K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
