About the role
Position Summary...
As a Senior Manager, Automation Engineering, you will drive the operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of automation across the enterprise. In this role, you will provide long-term leadership for Modular Health initiatives while also leading near-term priorities for DSL-facing programs, including Fashion, Template, Pricing Accuracy, and Merch Tools. You will leverage data and backend systems to deliver core pricing functions, enable template materialization, and scale solutions that enhance supply chain, merchandising, and in-store efficiency.You’ll join a high-performing automation and operations team dedicated to advancing end-to-end (E2E) efficiency. The team has established minimum business case requirements to scale DSL across manufacturing, shipping, storage, replenishment, and in-store functionality. As we transition beyond initial implementations, focus is shifting to infrastructure innovation at the shelf edge—leveraging cameras, RFID readers, BLE technologies, and other smart systems. This work directly supports Modular Health and Modular Efficiency strategies, positioning the team to drive measurable business impact.
This is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package can be made available, but we are not considering remote applicants.
What you'll do...
- Lead Modular Health initiatives long term, while driving DSL short-term deliverables across Fashion, Template, Pricing Accuracy, and Merch Tools.
- Use data and backend systems to deliver core pricing functions and enable template materialization
- Partner continuously with Store Ops, Merch Ops, Global and US Tech, Retail Intelligence, Procurement, 3rd party solution providers, Compliance, and Global Audit to identify opportunities, innovate, and execute
- Develop and execute implementation, training, and adoption plans, ensuring successful rollout (or rollback) of solutions across stores
- Ensure DSL infrastructure is scaled across manufacturing, shipping, storage, replenishment, and in-store functionality
- Drive shelf-edge innovation through deployment of cameras, RFID readers, BLE use cases, and other smart automation tools
- Manage operational challenges while ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit standards
- Build business cases for new automation projects, measure ROI, and secure stakeholder alignment
- Champion continuous improvement and foster a culture of innovation and belonging
What You’ll Bring...
- Demonstrated ability to lead automation integration in operations, merchandising, pricing, or supply chain functions.
- Strong skills in data analysis, backend systems, process optimization, and project management.
- Experience with CAD, control systems, shelf-edge technologies (e.g., RFID, cameras, BLE), and automation design.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with experience partnering across Ops, Tech, Compliance, and external providers.
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and influence diverse teams.
- Proven business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution
- Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and fostering inclusivity.
