Job Summary

Reporting to the Regional Senior Vice President for the Florida Region, the VP of Finance & Business Operations is a key role responsible for providing executive-level guidance for all financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, planning and execution. This position also provides overall leadership for our Project Management Organization, Customer Experience Team and Fleet Management functions for the Region.

The VP serves as a key operational partner to all functional groups across the Region, developing long-term plans and driving change transformation to ensure strategic execution and achieve specific business results. Additionally, this incoming leader will participate with other top leaders to establish division/group/company-wide processes.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provides financial expertise to operating leadership and interacts with the senior leadership team on both operational and financial short-and-long-range planning.

  • Facilitates overall project and program management of key business initiatives to ensure short-and-long-term delivery of business results.

  • Ensures regional execution of strategies to drive NPS growth, process efficiencies and customer journey improvements.

  • Analyzes all aspects of financial performance within the Region and provides recommendations for improvement.

  • Oversees preparation and review of monthly operating financial statements, monthly variance forecasting, external financial statements and budget data.

  • Leads and oversees the bulk billing operation for the Central Division, including team member selection, remote work coordination, and service delivery to the Division and other regions.

  • Assures regional compliance with Company policies and procedures focusing on requirements under Sarbanes Oxley and ensures all systems of financial and internal operational controls are functioning properly at the system and regional level.

  • Directs all work associated with Corporate and Division year-end reporting packaging and local filings.

  • Directs preparation of annual capital and operational budgets for the Region.

  • Leads team of leaders and professionals, and prioritizes coaching, mentoring and staff development opportunities.

  • Oversees Fleet Management for the Florida Region.

  • Reviews, coordinates and approves key internal hiring; reviews, coordinates and approves key contracts, including statements of work for vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the regional fiduciary and CFO.

  • Ensures the integrity of the business operations across all functions along with the senior leadership team.

  • Leads budget, forecasting, planning, and analysis of the region.

  • Drives P&L and growth results.

  • Delivers P&L and capital performance above plan/targets.

Job Specifications:

  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible finance/accounting experience, including management and direction of staff.

  • Ability to lead a multi-site finance and accounting organization that serves a large customer and employee base.

  • Strong capital management experience.

  • Public accounting experience desirable, as is prior telecommunications financial experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting. CPA and/or MBA preferred.

  • Strong collaboration and teambuilding skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience supporting/leading large organizations.

  • Demonstrated delivery of strong financial results with equally strong customer experience delivery.

  • Savvy leader with strong emotional intelligence and a track record of developing talent.

  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to articulate business plans to both senior and frontline audiences.

  • Prior experience working in a Fortune 50 environment
