Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Facilities/Maintenance Mechanic to work in our Houston facility! 

Job Summary

Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields such as Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC); In addition to providing an effective maintenance and repair service to minimize breakdowns and downtime. It may be necessary to make purchases and inventories of spare parts.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of the building and other structures to detect necessary failures and repairs, taking notes and recommendations.
• Performs minor plumbing maintenance tasks such as parts replacement or leak repair.
• Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (applying paints, stains and varnishes, placing doors, placing locks and handles, etc.).
• Contact contractors as necessary for emergency repairs.
• Request spare parts and keep the required documents.
• Respond to emergencies.
• General cleaning of the different areas or parts of the flat such as columns, electrical panels, lighting, fire-fighting equipment, ventilation equipment and areas that are part of the building.
• Inspection of smoke detectors.     
• Assist external suppliers in the visits, repairs and maintenance of the building

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of previous facilities maintenance experience.
• Ability to work safely following policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Additional Information

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $20.00 to $28.00 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
