Software Developer Sr Advisor

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Senior AWS Developer at GDIT. Here, you’ll tailor cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our clients.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Proficient in AWS technologies including S3, Athena, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, ECS, Glue, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, IAM, Cognito, QuickSight, Boto3, and AWS CLI.
• Proficient in software development technologies including Python, PySpark, Pandas, Bash, SQL, XML, YAML, JSON, HTML, SFTP, Cloud9, SageMaker, VSCode, CodeCommit/Git.
• Proficient in software development best practices, including object-oriented design, design patterns, coding standards, agile mythologies and SCRUM, software development lifecycle, extract/transform/load (ETL), system integration, security best practices and least privileged model.
• Proficient communication skills, working with 3rd party contractors and customers, proactively identifying and filling gaps, proactively identifying risks and developing solutions to mitigate those risks.
• Proficient at understanding data, data validation, data conversion, data fusion, and data analytics.
• Capable creating, presenting, and executing architectural designs based on requirements.
• Willingness to independently work and learn new technologies and apply them, including VPCs, Containerization, machine learning (ML), 2D/3D visualizations, GRIB files.
• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent), + 10 years of experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
