Job Summary
SummarySpaulding Outpatient Center Medford is seeking a passionate, experienced physical therapist to join our dynamic, interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate enjoys working thrives in a collaborative environment and values the powerful impact teamwork has on patient outcomes.
Our center treats a broad range of orthopedic, neurologic, and persistent pain conditions using evidence‑based approaches. We are looking for a clinician who is eager to learn, committed to professional growth, and dedicated to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Experience with complex clinical presentations and pain neuroscience preferred but not required; training is available for the right candidate.

Responsible for planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. They will be responsible for Physical Therapy Student and Physical Therapy Assistants as well as training new staff as needed.

Essential Functions
-Establishes therapy goals and formulates a treatment plan based on evaluation results.
-Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
-Provides individual, family and group therapy sessions for clients engaged in outpatient therapy
-Participates in the interdisciplinary group for hospice patients and the case conference meetings for home health patients.
-Participates in discharge planning.
-Provides initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and protocols and facilitate recommendations for treatment.
-Records all pertinent data in the patient’s medical records.

Education
Masters or Doctorate Physical Therapy required

Licenses and Credentials
Physical Therapist [State License] - Generic - HR Only required Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
Experience
Experience working as a physical therapist in a hospital, rehab or Ambulatory setting 1-2 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems.
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Teaching others how to do something.
- Excellent problem solving, case management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
