Overview
The Agency of Digital Services (ADS) is looking for a Professional Development and Training Coordinator to join our business office team. The business office supports the financial operations of the agency through budget development and monitoring, payroll and expenses, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, professional development, employee management, purchasing, vendor management and related operational functions of ADS. Our mission is to work together with our partners in state government to deliver simple and intuitive technology solutions that improve the lives of the citizens of Vermont. Our vision is to make government services secure and easily accessible to all people doing business and interacting with the State of Vermont.
As a Professional Development and Training Coordinator, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Creation and management of Agency professional development process.
- Development of new curriculum.
- Development of competency measures.
- Manages professional development plan process.
- Responsible for professional development data collection and analysis.
You'll work with a small team of finance and accounting professionals and will collaborate with ADS leadership and ADS staff. We are seeking candidates with a background in public administration, business management, human resources, or data science and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, but additional years of work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree may be qualifying.

Environmental Factors
Duties are performed largely in an office and/or classroom setting but some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Lifting and transporting of training and/or event materials, and establishing appropriate set-up of training/event facilities, may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public administration, business management, human resources, data science or related field AND two (2) or more years of work experience in one (1) or more of the following areas: performance management, policy analysis, data analysis, quality management, project/program management, program or policy development, change management, business process improvement, public administration.
OR
Three (3) or more years of work experience in one (1) or more of the following areas: performance management, policy analysis, data analysis, quality management, project/program management, program or policy development, change management, business process improvement, public administration.
