We’re currently hiring for a UX Architect, Remote (Part-time)

The role will allow the perspective candidate to learn from senior user experience designers and strategists as they find human-centered solutions to modernize federal websites and web properties. Also, the perspective candidate will assist in creating communication artifacts such as wireframes, pathways, design specifications, and prototypes. Also, this position will require the perspective candidate to attend team meetings where they will collaborate with delivery and development teams.

Position requires the successful candidate reside and complete all work within the continental United States due to contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities for the Role:

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps. 

  • Contribute to projects with multiple owners and team members who report to different supervising units.

  • Plan and implement new user-centered designs by understanding business requirements and user needs. 

  • Conduct design reviews of existing systems and applications 

  • Work with customers to shape future state user journeys. 

  • Translate requirements into style guides, design patterns, and easy-to-use interfaces. 

  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and project teams to ensure design elements are incorporated into development sprints. 

  • Work with UX researchers to conduct usability and concept testing before implementation. 


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of UX design experience to include experience with wireframing and UI prototyping for multi-screen-sized experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card Holder
  • The ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Professional Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to work on multiple parallel projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Special considerations will be given to candidates with federal or similar web experience who understand the U.S. Web Design System and related usability and accessibility best practices.
  • Familiarity with UX design principles and informing design with user research.
  • Familiarity with data visualizations
  • ServiceNow or Appian experience is strongly preferred.
