About the role

Linehaul Supply Chain Managers lead middle mile transportation, driving LH conversion of 53’ tractor loads across North America (NA) through various business initiatives. LH Supply Chain Managers analyze market and carrier behavior trends within the Relay Load Board (RLB), Relay Contract Marketplace (RCM) and Rail and Port Drayage programs. They drive program adoption through carrier engagement and training to improve Cost, Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA), and Capacity for Amazon Transportation Services (ATS). LH Supply Chain Managers effectively apply Voice of the Carrier (VOC) feedback and work cross functionally with multiple teams to advocate Amazon’s needs to transportation providers. They are forward looking and collaborate on business objectives to deliver a sustainable product to improve the carrier experience and the way we deliver packages.

Key job responsibilities
Obsessing over carrier experience, understanding their pain points and tailoring program attributes to meet their needs.

Dive Deep to understand network improvement opportunities, and work cross functionally to implement long term, sustainable solutions.

Monitor and react quickly to changes in market conditions and churn in carrier behavior trends.

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, or transportation
- Experience with building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience leading cross-functional programs
- Experience designing, implementing, and optimizing initiatives
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau or Microsoft Access

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
