Description
This part time evening inpatient pharmacy technician position's duties include: IV compounding, automated cabinet replenishment, order preparation and drug distribution. Typical shifts hours are between 3:30 pm-10 pm. This position will be scheduled 2 evenings per week, and every 3rd weekend and is perfect for students or part time income.
Springhill Medical Center Inpatient Pharmacy supports over 200 inpatients daily, an extensive outpatient surgical department, and one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the Mobile. New employees will be trained to compound IV admixtures and learn to use Springhill's modern integrated hospital information system.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate
- Current Alabama Pharmacy Technician License
Job Requirements:
- Basic math skills required for compounding IVs
- Attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform moderate physical work exerting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
