This position is responsible for the leadership of assigned clinical and clerical teams within the Utilization Management department of IU Health Revenue Cycle Services. This position supervises the daily operations and completion of team assignments.  Serves as the first tier escalation and support for team members on task-oriented problems or issues.  Conducts regular team meetings and provides communication on internal policy changes or external regulations.  Prepare and present reports on team performance and patient outcomes.  Assists management in the fostering of a positive work environment through staff development and training. Ensures high quality standardized work processes that result in consistent outcomes that compare favorably with relevant national benchmarks as well as assuring compliance with industry, state and federal statutes.  Utilization management or revenue cycle experience preferred. 

  • Requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years clinical health care experience as a registered nurse.
  • Requires expert knowledge of revenue cycle requirements and regulations.
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills.
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings.
  • Requires the ability to promote teamwork and develop team members.
  • Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives.
  • Previous experience in Utilization Management or Revenue Cycle is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
