Veterinary Technician - Mobile Diagnostic Imaging
The Animal Cardiology CenterAbout the role
**This is a traveling provider position in which, after initial training in NYC, you'd visit multiple veterinary practices across an assigned territory in Rhode Island to deliver echocardiographic imaging services.
Who We Are:
The Animal Cardiology Center (TACC) takes on the most advanced cardiac cases in the region. We have cultivated a highly skilled team that takes pride in mastering this specialized and often underserved field. Led by Board-Certified Cardiologist Dr. Justin Carlson, our team is known for delivering high-level diagnostics while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach. We are committed to doing things the right way - for our patients, clients, and team.
Now, we’re bringing that same standard of care to Rhode Island through our growing Mobile Echocardiography Program. This is a chance to be part of something early, helping expand access to advanced cardio care while building your own skillset in a new, focused way. We welcome Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) from general practice, emergency, or specialty backgrounds - prior cardiology experience is not required. We’ll teach you everything you need with comprehensive hands-on training and ongoing mentorship from Board-Certified Cardiologists who are deeply committed to your professional development.

- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain imaging equipment in mobile environments
- Troubleshoot imaging challenges independently in the field
- Capture and present diagnostic-quality studies for cardiologist interpretation
Patient Care & Clinical Support

Territory Ownership & Relationship Building
- Travel to partner hospitals across Rhode Island to deliver mobile imaging services
- Build strong relationships with veterinary teams—becoming a trusted extension of their practice
- Support onboarding of new partner clinics and help expand our network
- Manage your workflow, scheduling, and daily logistics independently
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to imaging protocols, training materials, and workflow optimization
- Participate in ongoing case review and development with the cardiology team
What Makes This Role Different:
- You’ll begin in a cohort of 2-4 trainees, learning alongside peers while building deep cardiology imaging skills
- After training, you’ll return to own and operate your defined territory in Rhode Island
- You’ll create your own schedule, manage clinic relationships, and become the go-to imaging specialist for your partner hospitals
This role combines clinical practice, field-based specialization, and relationship management into a cohesive and dynamic position.

What We Offer:
