Position Overview

The Materials Sales Billing Clerk will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of processing tickets and invoices, in multiple computer systems for multiple companies.  The clerk will also be responsible for providing support for Internal and External Customers. 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Accurately process material billing for multiple locations and product lines.
  • Work closely with the Credit Department to help resolve invoice issues, process re-bills as necessary.
  • Work with Dispatch to ensure all orders are set up accurately in point of sale system.
  • Ensure company compliance with all applicable SOX requirements.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and work is completed correctly.
  • Excellent computer skills including email, Internet, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Utilize customer service skills in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

           Education/Experience

  • Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years related work experience preferred, but not required.

 

Work Requirements

  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Must be detail orientated.
  • Strong oral and written communications and problem solving skills.
  • Must display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Must have the ability to work without close supervision.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Be able to work overtime when required

 

  • Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with management.
  • Ability to operate office equipment including, but not limited to: computers, copiers, ten key adding machine, printers, etc.
  • Ability to analyze issues independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Knowledge and/or previous related experience in financial accounting environment preferred.
  • Ability to perform under deadline pressure.
  • Basic typing skills.
