About the role

Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

To support production department increase efficiency through root cause analysis, solving quality defects, and providing training to operators.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clearly defines all production floor workflows, communicates processes and expectations, and ensures all practices are being followed through regular meetings, trainings, and communication with employees
  • Understand project priorities, anticipates bottlenecks, identifies risks, and escalates issues that cannot be resolved internally
  • Encourage and promote the culture of cooperation and teamwork among the Production team.
  • Provides regular status reports and capacity plan updates to the Production Manager and/or Plant Manager
  • Manage the resources of all departments to achieve the outcome of the projects
  • Continually analyze daily performance, yields, and downtime to maximize response time to production changes and to reduce loss to the company.
  • Work closely with other members of the Leadership team
  • Ensure that the production floor is a safe environment, free from hazards, and promote and enforce all safety policies
  • Continually look for process improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in a related field 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job
  • Skill in multitasking and time management
  • Ability to effectively manage personnel of varying skills and disciplinary backgrounds
  • Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments
  • Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential
  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
  • Must be able to reach, touch, grasp
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
  • Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products. 
  • Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 35 pounds
