Join the Mission Systems team in Richardson, TX as a summer (June start) and fall (early to mid-December end) co-op student. You will need to take the fall semester off in order to do this role. This role is onsite, in Richardson, TX. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

You will apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, under technical supervision.

You will work with engineers and designers to produce models for components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies.

You will execute tests for systems, subsystems, and components under technical oversight.

You will analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives.

You will communicate effectively in a cross-functional team.

What You Will Learn:

You will collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to create successful designs.

You will learn how to follow appropriate design, safety, and qualification standards in development programs.

You will learn to provide documentation of development, analysis, and test data.

You will learn processes associated with the various phases of the product development cycle.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Solidworks or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Familiarity with ANSYS or other mechanical analysis software.
