Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry Unit South

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus - Cardiac Telemetry is seeking an experienced RN to join our team.  This role will be Part-Time, Day/Night shift rotating (7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am) and every other weekend.

CTUS is a dedicated vascular surgery unit and cardiac medicine unit. The patient populations include pre and post vascular surgery, pre and post cardiac procedures, congestive heart failure, dysrhythmias, and general cardiac disorders.  We may consider those experienced RNs requiring the Fellowship.

Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities:

Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships.
Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
Conducts all patient care in a patient and family centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
Advocates for patients' rights from the patient and family perspective and provides counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues.
Accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements:

Experience:  At least one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
Certification:  BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
License:  RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.  If RN has an Associate Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within five years of start date
