The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a National Senior Director on our School Engagement team. The location for this position is remote.
This position is responsible for leading a team of experienced professionals, player/coaches and managers to support assigned accounts and build new business.

Responsibilities
- Leads and develops operations strategy for account services team to grow revenue through maintenance of current accounts or development of new or expanded relationships. Oversees the implementation of the annual customer service plan to achieve annual revenue and product growth goals. Typically a manager of managers. Plans and establishes goals and objectives for a team of professionals with direct impact on the immediate or short term operational results of the area. Manages a team comprised of experienced professionals, player/coaches and managers. Typically a manager of managers. Assigns goals and objectives for the team.
- Ensures that account services team maintains the business unit's contact management system with timely input of account information to track leads at various states of the selling cycle. Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
- Makes direct sales calls for national or key accounts. Conducts account planning and evaluation sessions with the key vendors as appropriate. Monitors progress toward goals, identifies goal shortfalls and develops strategies to cover shortfalls and get back on track to achieve budgeted/plan goals.
- Works with marketing function to develop plans to market and promote the assigned product or program for customer service team. Oversees the creation and development of materials for field campaign as needed.
- Tracks performance statistics by individual team member and for overall department to document account losses, account progress toward closure and accounts won. Sets performance objectives for field and centralized account and support staff, monitors performance against goals, and conducts performance evaluations
- Cultivates existing relationships with program participants to influence the accounts to expand participation and to stimulate their interest to also explore other opportunities. Implements appropriate market (health-care, corporate, public safety and community) and national strategic initiatives for the product or program.
- Manages the relationship between Client Services and the Legal Department for successful negotiation and execution of licensing agreements and other contracts or legal issues related to the program. Develops and maintains budget for assigned projects. Researches and identifies new opportunities for product development and account improvement.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope and responsibility of the job level and family.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Five (5) years of relevant experience and at least three (3) years of supervisory experience
- Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics
- Project management - consistent track record of meeting deadlines.
- Excellent design and creative communication development skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the willingness to work with all social strata, occupations, and diverse backgrounds.
- Presentation skills for small and large groups.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated team.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected pay range will be $135,000 to $145,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. This position is incentive eligible based on achieving certain targets. American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
