Job Description
 

Knowledge:
People management experience, including the ability to manage external contractors.
Vendor management experience.
Proven operational management experience in a facilities function
Program management experience
Progressive relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Specific education and experience requirements:
BS/BA/AD Degree preferred
In lieu of BS/BA Degree, 8+ years of relevant experience and with Associate Degree reduced to 6+ years of relevant experience
7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and security/safety training
Security/Safety Professional certifications preferred
Specific job responsibilities:
Manages a budget and organize resources according to Safety & Security department priorities and customer need.
Supports Director with strategic planning and resource estimates for the Safety & Security department.
Interacts with contractors and/or vendors on routine facilities and property administration matters.
Manages multiple projects of significant complexity and risk. Manages building safety and operations services functions including site security.
Works with internal business partners to develop prevention programs to reduce the probability of significant incidents and losses.
Supports leasehold improvement projects and provides expert project management skills and experience.
Provide guidance to resolve day-to-day security related issues. Ensures that team personnel are trained and developed to meet changing company needs.
Develops and owns emergency plans that will ensure an orderly response to a variety of adverse/crises events, e.g. the threat of violence in the workplace, product tampering, threat to company assets.
Manage programs and processes to ensure high quality of safety and security across US Gilead sites,
Identifies, formulates, updates and monitors personnel development plans for all direct reports.


 

The salary range for this position is: $154,020.00 - $199,320.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
