Senior Accountant

<p>                                                                                        </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Reports to: </p><p>European Finance Controller</p><p>Objective of the role: </p><p>The UK/Netherland Accountant is responsible for all Finance activities related to the 2 UK entities: PI UK and PI Europe, and for the Netherlands entity: PI Netherlands. The successful candidate will also assists other PI group entities as needed. This means Accounts Payable, GL, Fixed Assets, Intercompany accounting, and assisting with forecasting activities.</p><p> </p><p>Education and work experience:</p><ul><li>Economics or Accounting degree</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, within a multinational company</li><li>Good Oracle knowledge</li><li>Fluent in English and Dutch, other languages a plus</li><li>Ability to work independently and deliver on responsibilities within a highly collaborative environment.</li><li>Team spirit, high level of commitment and independent working style with a structured approach to work</li><li>Attention to detail and sense of confidentiality.</li><li>Good skills in Excel and other Microsoft tools</li></ul><p> </p><p>Main Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Accounts Payable including vendor data management, bookings, payments, accruals and reconciliations of sub-ledgers with General Ledger</li><li>Employee expense reports and credit card billings including ensuring appropriate authorizations, bookings, payments, accruals and reconciliations.</li><li>General Ledger accounting from bookings to BS accounts reconciliations as per periodic schedule</li><li>Intercompany positions reconciliation</li><li>Booking of the payroll entries (details provided by Payroll provider)</li><li>Fixed asset transactions such as additions, depreciations, retirements, transfers and adjustments for capital assets and ensuring adherence to company policies in respect of depreciation and capitalization. Ensure reconciliation of sub-ledgers with General Ledger</li><li>Participate in the roll-out of Oracle for the 2 UK entities and help/train local users with i-expenses and PO's where appropriate.</li><li>Supporting internal and external auditing and controlling functions</li></ul><p> </p>
