Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a cleared Data Acquisition Specialist to join our team of Cyber & Intelligence professionals supporting the United States Marine Corp Cyber (MARFORCYBER) and their mission to leverage the Big Data Platform (BDP) in the cyber terrain. Working alongside a talented team of agile developers, you will establish and enforce the processes that ensure data is captured, organized, maintained, and distributed appropriately. Your excellent communication skills will be integral as you serve as a liaison between the technical development teams and project management to implement the project’s information management strategy.
Specifically, you will have the opportunity to:
- Direct the management, collection, storage, and organization of technical documents, records, emails, procedures and additional products
- Design, maintain, and enhance the taxonomy used to capture and organize project data
- Develop and implement a project-wide governance architecture that focuses on formalizes the capture, maintenance, and usability of data
- Ensure that this material is readily accessible to team members, responding quickly and effectively to requests for information and making data accessible to management and technical teams
- Work with project management to develop and maintain the Data Management Plan and all related data governance polices and procedures
- Utilize available data management tools to support data management activities (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence)
- Serve as the project’s authority on data governance practices and address any issues, questions, or requests
- Review Data Management schedules and budgets with the project management
- Define, track, and report data management metrics
Required Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience.)
- 10 years’ experience in Data Management and deliverable tracking (Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.)
- Experience operating in an Agile development environment
- Proficiency with the Atlassian’s Confluence and Jira
- Experience developing, implementing, and enforcing Data Management plans, practices, and policies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A current Top Secret SCI level security clearance is required and therefore all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen
