As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop innovative electro-mechanical products that improve and extend the lives of patients around the world. Day-to-day work includes a variety of design-related activities including testing and analysis; while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and refine mechanical designs
- Design, fabricate, and test prototype devices to address clinical feedback
- Write and execute test protocols and reports
- Effectively communicate testing and analysis results to a variety of audiences
- In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to all documented quality processes and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Must graduate with your bachelor’s or graduate level degree between Fall 2026 – Spring 2027
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
- Must be able to commit to one of the following full 12-week internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams
- Passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions
- Previous hands-on internship or co-op experience
- Desire to work in a medical device company to create life improving and saving products

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
