Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling & Equipment Operation: Safely operate a forklift to transport, stage, and load heavy construction-related attachments and materials.
- Attachment Retrieval & Preparation: Accurately pull attachments from the yard based on item codes and part numbers, ensuring readiness for shipment.
- Construction Equipment Prep: Wash, dry, grind, and paint materials to remove rust, imperfections, and prepare them for customer delivery.
- Shipping & Packaging Support: Properly secure and band pallets using metal strapping machines to ensure safe transport.
- Truck Loading & Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading dry vans and flatbed trucks with construction attachments and components.
- Documentation & Inventory: Maintain accurate paperwork, retrieve small parts from the parts department, and ensure proper record-keeping for shipping and warehouse inventory.
- Outdoor & Industrial Work: Perform tasks in various weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, sleet, snow) while maintaining efficiency and safety.
- Paint & Finish Work: Operate an industrial air-powered paint sprayer to apply coatings, ensuring quality standards and durability.
- Work Order Execution: Follow detailed work orders to complete labor-intensive prep tasks, such as pin removal and teeth replacement for equipment.
- Quality Assurance & Safety: Ensure all work meets functionality and appearance standards, adhering to safety protocols for chemical and equipment handling.
Requirements:
- Construction & Warehouse Experience: Prior experience in construction, industrial labor, or warehouse environments preferred.
- Forklift & Equipment Proficiency: Ability to safely operate forklifts, hand tools, power tools, and industrial paint sprayers.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting 50–75 lbs repeatedly and performing rigorous labor in outdoor conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to read and interpret part numbers and work orders with precision.
- Teamwork & Communication: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Self-Starter & Proactive Worker: Ability to recognize tasks and complete them efficiently with minimal supervision.
