We are seeking a Senior BI Developer to join a strategic program to maximise the use of our data technologies. Working closely with IT and Enterprise Data Office (EDO), this is an opportunity to contribute to a long-term strategic initiative involving a wide variety of data sourced from various external parties and data providers. This role is within the Accelerated Data Consolidation Program (ADCP) being run in a maturing Agile (Scrum) environment to consolidate the Bank’s most critical data on the enterprise data warehouse. This role is a fixed term contract until end December 2025.

Objectives

• Develop and support effective data modelling and development capabilities to deliver the Bank's data requirements.

• Develop and support BI technologies such as SQL, IBM DataStage, and cloud and data engineering technologies.

• Ensure that system development standards are maintained and participate in code reviews.

• Maintain a working knowledge of tools and software packages used.

• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to refine business requirements.

• Ensure that system development standards are maintained and participate in code reviews.

• Ensure all system documentation complies with relevant IT Standards.

• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, processes, principal and practices.

Technical Capabilities

• Demonstrated knowledge in Data Warehousing and data modelling concepts.

• Demonstrated knowledge using the IBM InfoSphere suite such as IBM DataStage, QualityStage, Information Analyser and IGC.

• Demonstrated experience in cloud and data engineering technologies such as Azure, Cloudera, Spark, Python.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft BI technologies including SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS and SSAS.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the BI Development Life Cycle.

• Demonstrated knowledge of unit, integration and performance testing frameworks.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery practices and tools.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications relevant to the Bank or IT industry.
